I was born in Pescara, Italy, in 1972 and I grew up in Rome. Since 2000 I live in Bern, Switzerland. I am the co-founder with Catherine Riva of Re-Check, a non-profit organization for Investigating & Mapping Health Affairs. I started working as a journalist in 1994; 2002-2015 I was an investigative reporter for the Swiss public broadcaster: for Falò RSI and Patti chiari (RSI) and for Rundschau (SRF). Since 2015 I am a freelancer. Primarily specialized in medicine and healthcare, I have experience on human rights and digital security. Complex themes and controversial issues are my favorites. I am a member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), the chairwoman of the Swiss organization for investigative journalism investigativ.ch and an advisory board member of IRPI and journalismfund.eu. I support the Global Network for Investigative Journalism (GIJN) activities. With Catherine Riva or on my own I work as a tutor and trainer. I am a contributor with the Swiss-Italian outlets area and tvsvizzera.it. Of Italian mother tongue I speak English, French and German. I wanna know more.
Nata a Pescara nel 1972, sono cresciuta a Roma e nel 2000 mi sono trasferita a Berna. Ho iniziato a lavorare come giornalista nel 1994. Dal 2002 al 2015 ho lavorato a tempo pieno per i programmi di inchiesta della televisione pubblica svizzera – per Falò RSI e per Patti chiari RSI, di lingua italiana, e per Rundschau di lingua tedesca (SRF). Dal 2015 sono indipendente. Negli anni mi sono specializzata in salute pubblica e medicina. Ma mi sono occupata anche di bufale mediatiche, diritti umani e società digitale. I progetti collaborativi mi appassionano, soprattutto se varcano le frontiere. Faccio parte de The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), sono presidente dell’organizzazione svizzera per il giornalismo d’inchiesta investigativ.ch e faccio parte dell’advisory board di Investigative Reporting Project Italy (IRPI) e Journalism Fund. Collaboro con il network mondiale del giornalismo d’inchiesta (GIJN). Ho fondato insieme a Catherine Riva un’organizzazione senza scopo di lucro per fare inchiesta attorno a salute pubblica e medicina: Re-check.ch. Insieme a Catherine Riva o da sola insegno etica e tecniche del giornalismo d’inchiesta. Scrivo articoli per il periodico Area e per il portale tvsvizzera.
